Participation Statement

Pen Y Bryn Outdoor Learning CIC recognise that climbing, hill walking, mountaineering, kayaking, gorge walking and coasteering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions. We will ensure that all instructors are suitably qualified and/or experienced with knowledge of venues used to optimise the well-being of participants. Mountain Training and other bodies have developed a range of training and assessment schemes and associated supporting literature to help instructors manage these risks and to enable new participants to have positive experiences while learning about their responsibilities.
