School Adventures
Duke of Edinburgh Award
We believe all young people deserve a youth without limits.
Our role as an Approved Activity Provider is to help young people, schools and youth organisations achieve this by providing high-quality Bronze, Silver, and Gold Duke of Edinburgh expeditions in Wales, via walking, cycling, canoe or kayak.
We offer professional support ranging from advice and training, through to full delivery of a practice and qualifying expedition. We work collaboratively with schools and organisations to ensure that your young people are fully prepared to meet the challenges of their chosen level of expedition.
Our usual approach is for our staff to visit your venue for a training day. We then organise the practice expedition, where participants can put the theory learned into practice, and then finally an assessed expedition.
With over 20 years experience of delivering the Duke of Edinburgh programme to a wide range of clients, we can tailor any level of the programme to your participants’ needs. We can also help with the loan of group equipment. For more information, please download the kit list and the guide to expedition equipment.
We want to ensure that the award expedition is accessible to young people in North Wales. We offer discounted places to young people who are facing financial hardship. Please contact us to discuss how we can help to make this award accessible. We are fortunate to be able to provide expeditions and training in the medium of Welsh.
We would organise the expedition to take place in your local area, or a nearby rural location.

- Rather than heading straight home at the end of the last day, add an optional extra night of camping for an additional £25 per person. Groups often use this evening to relax, checking in their borrowed equipment with our staff in the morning after breakfast. We can make suggestions of local, affordable takeaways/restaurants that the group can purchase their dinner from, at their own cost.
